I would just call the person and have them sign your book. Mistakes happen, especially when you're new.

If it's not possible for them to sign your book I wouldn't overly worry about it just make a note in your book about the mistake. You're the only who sees your book, it's not like you're audited by the Secretary of State.

Best bet is to contact the person who was suppose to sign the book, arrange to meet with them, go through the entire notary process again and have them sign the book. Then make a note in detail as to why the signature was missed the first time and what was done to correct it.

Do it three times and you can give up your notary.

call the notary office that gave you the stamp, my state is the secretary of state office, explain the situation. probably not as big of an issue that you are making out of it.
